Been trying to create an Instagram account for days now on my computer specifically as on my computer I am able to stay on VPN's for a long time wherest phones and iPad's are out as I need my normal internet for other activities. The problem is that Instagram is not letting me create an account at all and I have tried so many VPN's... free ones though, but they worked like a charm on the website before. I used Free VPN extensions like SetupVPN etc.

I am just wondering, is the reason for this a Device Ban by Instagram or do you think the VPN's that I used to use and worked before are permanently blacklisted by Instagram? My head is melting wondering about this, was hoping to find some answers. Personally I am going with the first option that my computer has been "device banned" by Instagram as when I try on my iPad and phone, it works, although I do have to say that it is much harder these days to create accounts. It could just be that Instagram has beefed up their security... who knows.

The other question I have is, does Instagram REALLY know your MAC address and I am talking about computers here, not cell phones or iPad's, I have asked in other places and some people say that your MAC address doesn't go outside your local network, so websites have NO access to them, while others say simply that Instagram knows everything when you try to sign up. IP & MAC addresses etc.

Final question, when you sign up to Instagram through your computer on their website, is it pretty much the same as when you are trying to sign up through your phone and iPad?

Your thoughts?

Instagram made a lot of changes in proxy detection so there's that. You can create accounts with mobile devices because the trust score is higher than for accounts created with computer and some low quality proxies still end up creating the accounts.
If you are using computer, Instagram does not know the MAC address. Also, you can change it in a few minutes. Accounts created with mobile devices are of much higher quality than the ones with computer and browser, but, depending on your needs, they can be enough.
If you want to confirm if your proxies are at fault, try creating the account with any browser. Before clicking signup, press right mouse button and "inspect element". After getting instant ban, go to "network" and then "response". You will see a message why Instagram banned your account. If it will be "your ip is flagged as open proxy", proxies are at fault.

Ever cookies....lol

Ps- I just created an Instagram account in less than 10 seconds using my mobile number. I don't have any footprints yet, but if you ask me to create 100s accounts I bet my footprints will be blacklisted.

Even your screen resolution counts :P

One more thing which I think is pertinent, most VPN gives out your actual IP through flash. I had a site which could check it but I forgot the link, sorry

most VPN ips are blacklisted, you need a good proxy providers ips other wish you will kick off every time

You will not be able to create accounts with VPN. those are all marked as a well known IPs for accounts creation.
Instagram know your MAC? hell no. use 4G proxies & multi login and you will be able to see how easy it is to create accounts.
