Hi All,
I have finally registered here. I have a background in Software Development and I am working on a small private PPI network.
Would be interested in sharing all kinds of ideas: technical, business growth, etc, as well as finding prospective distributors for desktop offer(s).
Thank you,
iDeveloper

Best way to grow your PPI network is to make campaigns on networks such as: CPA networks:contact affiliate network and tell them you got offers for them , Advertising network: there are many networks which promote PPI offers, means you pay when somebody install and not on clicks/impressions.

About distributors, depends what exactly you want to do, make your own software, or promote somebody's else software. If you want to make your own software.. it's quite hard because most of people whom software is distributed promote adware and they have private partnership with networks, hard to get in touch with them.

However, you can make your own adware, or you can be smart and promote email submit offers on their desktop and pay the user when he completed an offer, you can even twist a bit: require information from visitor and make a software that complete offers with that information.

I will clarify little bit - I developed my own ad supported software app and started distributing it in small batches through one PPI network. Last 2 campaigns turned out to be profitable, so that I am gradually increasing volume right now. My main problem for now is the lack of significant funds, since PPI networks require payments upfront or after 1 month. And I am able to return money I spent on a campaign only after 3-4 months.

So, when I mentioned distributors, I was thinking about revenue sharing model when I could pay % of the revenue every month. I would be glad to hear from website owners, or any individuals who make money by re-uploading any kind of content to download or torrent sites.

Hey, welcome.

I have really solid past experience in a PC PPI promotion and software distribution, probably I can give you some thoughts over your little beginnings.

PPI networks aren't really cool with new advertisers without any background in ppi game, as a lot of scammers and resellers are floating around. You can make a deal on more manageable ppi terms with better payment model like to propose them NET0 or NET7 and the will def try your stuff out.

I'm thinking of getting into PPI myself. Do you have any resources you recommend I start with?

I am little bit puzzled here: NET0/7 would mean I have to pay PPI network almost immediately after each month(?), but I doubt it will help me to dramatically increase volume. I would rather ask for NET90 or even more and suggest that I could buy way more installs since after longer period I would receive money from advertising networks and pay PPI network. In this case I would not be limited by my own funds only. Even if PPI network ask me to raise the rate per install, I would still be able to make more money because of the almost uncapped volume.

I never could find a book "Learn to make money with PPI in 21 days", so for me it were forums like this, google and word of mouth. It depends where you position yourself distributor, developer, reseller?

I give you only my view as a developer: Developing any app which would provide any value for the user would be a good start. After that you will need a backend system to keep track of installs and measure traffic you are getting from distributors. Most important part - figure out monetizing technique and find advertising networks.

Well, you have to offer something to a network. It's not about bribing them but it's the prey and the catch game. :)

And it's really likely that you won't get any sufficient installs if you gonna make a NET terms way longer. Mainly all of PPI adverts are dealing with net15 to net30 terms as a more manageable for them. In the same time, install networks are buying install traffic on net30 and selling it on net15 just have that money gap for payouts, it's a normal practice.

But generally speaking you have to set your goals first asking yourself next:

1. How many installs do you really need and in what markets?
2. What your direct competitors are all about? (search offers, coupons, non-conflict stuff etc.)
3. Calculate your daily spend
4. Run that campaign
5. Measure the results
6. Improve
7. Repeat

That's it.

It is interesting, so that PPI network would prefer less liability than possible opportunity to make more money?

Do you mind if I contact you outside of this forum, since I still cannot post PM-s until I reach 15 messages?

From my POV I'm gonna tell you next: PPI guys run things quick. Industry is one leg in a shady side and full of adware and brutal techniques to catch a user. Nobody safe in this game, so there are a lot more risks in a far going campaigns on a huge terms.

You can reach me, yeah.
