Hello Friend,
For the past few years I have been developing Wordpress themes. Before that I was in sales and did really well, but hated every second of it. Before that I was in college and studied economics and web development (you can see how those relate, right? ) its a great gig albeit stale and not very dynamic. Not very residual. I have always been a decent writer, so I began writing content which opened the door for a regular blog post on a Transhumanist/Singularity publication. I am now the lead editor.
I have always had a serious interest in learning SEO and the ins and outs of marketing. I have a good conceptual understanding of SEO, listen to a couple podcasts. I understand how to do keyword research, how to do onsite/backend optimization for those keywords. I understand back-links, link-juice, landing pages etc etc. In short I got the jargon down. My practical understanding has lead me here.
I almost have information paralysis. The last 5 years or so I have spent learning but not really doing is the reason for this. That must change. Thats why I am here.
I am about to branch out and take on my first two clients for SEO. It is my hopes that I can make my home here. I am a huge believer of communities for learning and teaching.
I will find the appropriate threads for these but just in case you want to offer some advice I would be more thankful than Trump during a media blackout.
Happy to be here.
