Hi Troops,
Despite having the experience of building countless sites with various objectives from just general blogs to Amazon affiliate sites, I have always struggled with one thing and that is perfomance of my website as it grows, and when I say grow, I dont mean as in traffice but as in design, and I would really appreciate if you guys could give me some advice as to how I can optimise performance when building sites, as it seems to be my biggest downfall.
So in general, I tend to use Managed Wordpress packages from namecheap.com, but thier performance hasnt been good. Godaddy Ive used in the past and I actually cant complain, but the outcome is relatively the same websites get slow and unresponsive.
What I am struggling with, is by the time I get all the necessary plugins to make a nice site, with key features and functionality, i find myself with so many plugins from Elementor Pro to various optimisers, anti spam shit, security etc etc etc that I find the perfomance of my site just becomes terrible. I have even tried going through my plugins one by one and doing a basic analysis of "do i really need this? or can i find a basic alternative" but regardless of this, I just cant find to get to a point where I get a site that performs welll.
Yes I have tried keeping websites to the absolute bare bones, pure blog style and basic, and whilst performance is lightning quick, interaction and bounce rates are high and low respectively.
Whats the basics/secrets/hints or tips to having an attractive site with lots of features and gizmos with high performance?
Any advice is massively appreciated!
