i used to use Google Desktop Search to search for my PC files. The app is no longer updated. Do you guys have any recommendations that deliver the same result?

Too bad you are on windows.

If you were on mac, there is an awesome tool called alfred which can do everything you can throw at it, which includes searching on the web/your files too.

I always use the Windows File Explorer Search feature. Here there are some detailed instructions on how to use it

SearchEverything is a free app that I use. Lightweight and very easy.

I am using simple search and replace

this will search text inside your file. Its very useful if you need to found specific text inside files
