Desktop or laptop?

I use a laptop.
But a desktop feels more comfortable.
What do you prefer?

I use laptop because its easier to take with and keep working anytime.
 
Desktop computers offer larger screens, better ergonmics, and fewer heat issues when running multple applications
Laptops offer greater mobility, so that is what I generlly use, along with an external scree

Laptop - But I do use a separate screen, keyboard and mouse while I am doing any real work. Having two screens and a mouse really does increase the user experience.
Using a separate keyboard helps keeping the mac keyboard clean. :D

Laptop, but I've connected an external monitor, headphones, a keyboard, and a mouse; that makes it more convenient for gaming. :smirk: :smirk: :smirk:
 
I prefer a desktop tbh but when I go out I carry on my macbook
 
Desktop anyday.. I feel less creative when I use laptop..
 
It's impossible to choose just one. A laptop is all about convenience, especially if you travel a lot. A desktop computer, on the other hand, is all about comfort and quality
 
Desktop, because I'm old, and can alt-tab to a game if I want. Laptop when I feel like working somewhere else or if I'm travelling. In front of a desktop will always be my natural habitat though :)
 
Laptop for the freedom, desktop for the soul. I'm on a laptop right now because I like moving from the desk to the couch to the balcony like a restless cat. But whenever I sit down at a proper desktop with a big screen, mechanical keyboard, and an actual chair that doesn't destroy my spine, I feel like a functioning human being again.

There's something about a desktop that just hits different. The posture, the power, the fact that it doesn't sound like a jet engine when you open more than three tabs. Laptops are convenient little torture devices we've all just accepted. "Oh cool, I can work from anywhere" – yeah, and destroy my neck in every possible location.

If I had to pick one forever? Probably desktop, and I'd just use a cheap tablet for portability. But since we're all stuck in this "be online everywhere all the time" timeline, laptop wins by necessity. The ideal is having both and switching between them like a civilized person.
 
desktop for anything real. it doesnt thermal throttle after an hour, the ergonomics keep my back alive, and two monitors basically doubled my output. laptop only when im away from the desk, and even then i miss the second screen within 10 minutes.
 
Laptop with an external monitor, keyboard and mouse. Best of both worlds imo, full desktop comfort at home but I can still take the same machine anywhere.
 
A laptop with an extra screen and mouse, I have a wireless keyboard to that I use sometimes in combination.
 
I use a laptop more nowadays. It's more flexible, but the trade-off is I can't really play those big AAA games.
 
If you want to combine the flexibility of a laptop with the comfort of a desktop, you can turn your laptop into a "makeshift desktop" by adding an external monitor.
