Desktop Alert Notifier if website is down? is there any?

Hi,

I dont know if this is the correct place to open this thread but i am really paranoid
because sometimes my site goes offline due to highload in order to make my site online again i need to restart my vps.

is there a Desktop Alert Notifier if website is down? is there any?
i have tried pingdom but if there is a website down alert notifier in desktop with alert sound or anything please tell me. thanks

Idk why you need a desktop alert. Most services are email you when something is wrong.
 
Pingdom.com is pretty good. They can send email and sms alerts. Not sure about 'desktop alerts' though.
 
i needed desktop alert because whenever i am AFK if the alert is on my desktop i can hear it and i can restart my vps fast.
pingdom doesn't support my country in sms alert. their desktop notifier alert does not have alert sound =(
 
Yes, we at desktopalert offer a solution that will ping your site and send you a desktop alert, popup, email and phone call when it happens. We would need to tweak our solution to accommodate your need but sounds interesting. On another note, I think there are free email services that will do this for you.
 
I use pingdom too. It's free for 1 site. They also have an Android app with notifications which is better than desktop notifier.
 
Write a script wich will refresh the site every X second and pin the tab in your browser, with a javascript alert/sound when your site fails to load.

If you are looking for a program that will alert you when your website is down, I can develop one for you for a small price.

S/w will show 1) popups 2) send email 3) sms to your phone whenever site is offline.
