Design a site and work in a Localhost?

    This is a question for the most experienced wordpress designers:
    Is it convenient to design a site and work in a Localhost like wampp and upload it to the Host once finished?

    Or working directly on the host?

    Yes, of course it is, and probably best to bug-test in safe home environment. I personally use xampp and wampp.

    I use easy php, but a lot of these programs do the same thing anyway. It's very handy for bug testing. If you're using permalinks make sure you set them up on your local host other wise the links in your localhost wont work on the online version, i been having problems setting up permalinks on my localhost, i need to look into it more really.
