Deranking a reddit post?

    When people search my website up, the second search result listing is a reddit post. and this reddit post doesn't speak good of my business. how can i derank it? downvote it on reddit? will it help? how else can i not make it show as second result on google? its terrible.

    Deranking a Reddit post might be a bit difficult. You'll probably be better off trying to rank a whole bunch of other pages (your social media accounts would be an easy start) above it and pushing it further back into the SERPs. It might be worthwhile trying to get onto Reddit and respectfully respond so if any of your customers do see it, they might see your attempt at good customer service and just brush the author of the post off as a bad customer, just don't be disrespectful or condescending. That will turn future customers off. It's usually better to take the beating and be as nice as possible. It will make you look like a victim of the customer rather than a bully to the customer.

    There is always an option of getting it removed, but that would need to be looked at by an attorney. I work with two if you'd like a referral.

    Other than that, I never would reply to the post or attempt to manipulate it (down votes for example). The more action a page has, the higher it typically ranks. I would suggest that you try to suppress it or hire someone who can suppress it.
