the massacre in denver cinema when showing dark knight rises, some said they caught a guy named 'james'?

What you all think about that.

Sad story, but I think it was in Aurora, not Denver. I guess the guy who did it was a 24 year old recent college drop out who was attending a medical university. Crazy stuff.

The guy looks straight evil. It's always in the eyes.

Yup. I heard he died his hair like the Joker's and told authorities he was the Joker. What a creep. My heart goes out to the friends and families he has devastated.

To me he sounds psychopathic/sociopathic, but not psychotic. People in a psychotic episode might take a gun and shoot their mother, but they don't go about planning these complex attacks that take rational forethought.

Some people who don't bond with others at a young age, never develop the part of the brain where empathy resides. Sometimes not having mirror empathy neurons is genetic too.

I agree. The attacks were way too thought out (didn't he throw tear gas before he began shooting to confuse and disable everyone?) for him to be just having a minor episode of some sort. Anyone who takes that amount of time to plan such attacks and doesn't snap out of it are seriously crazy and should not be active in society.

If his legal team finds some ridiculous loophole to get him out of these attacks, I will flip out.

He even booby-trapped his apartment. They are still trying to get in with bomb teams. He wired everything so well, the only chance police and FBI might have to enter is to detonate a small bomb to set the others off. But they really want the evidence inside.

off topic: went to see the premier yesterday--err, today--night.

I didn't get the movie, so it kind of sucked for me.

But i did see all these fan boys/girls running around in batman costumes and stuff...

That's insane. All arguments of him being just psychotic are out the window. No one gets angry at the world and booby traps their apartment and shoots up a theater with innocent people in it unless they're mental.

I don't think he's mental or crazy. He's completely sane, but a sociopath. No empathy for others.

Crazy people aren't usually PhD students like this guy was, crazy and psychotic people can't function.

Ah yes, that's the other thing that was in the news. Did they ever disclose why he had recently dropped out?

I agree with Deviatus normal people can snap at any moment, I dont think he has any serious mental issue's, could just be pressure from life and who knows what else may have happened in this guys life that would make him do such things...

I wish someone would have fired back at him. Out of all those people in the theater, surely someone would of had a license to carry?

It's not very often that someone with a license to carry faces a situation in which they finally need to use it but this would of been one of those situations.

You'd think so but I guess not. He probably thought so too since he threw tear gas.

Well the one mental issue he has is the inability to feel empathy. But other than that, he seemed like a smart, quiet, student type of guy. Maybe he was just tired of life and wanted to cause chaos.

Lots of sociopaths never really commit crimes, because even if they'd feel nothing for their victims, their own life would get more stressful and they could get caught.

That person would probably be dead right now... you did hear of what kinda gear this guy had on right? nucking futs
