Deleting post may grow IG engagement?

Hey,

Have anyone tried to delete ( archive ) posts that have low engagement to get a better engagement in future posts?
I just heared about this way to improve engagement but i wonder is it myth or some way to improve account.
What do You think guys?

It'a not going to automatically increase engagement of future posts but it does hide poor-performing ones so when someone looks at your account they'll see a skewed view of what your engagement actually is. It's a good idea if you sell shoutouts or run other promotions on your account.

Deleting your posts doesn't help you with the overrall engagement rate, it only makes it seem better. This "method" is often used when selling accounts.

remove all the LQ followers, bots, unengaged followers and it will go up faster
