    Not sure what went wrong... I see my thread is doubled and the content is so gone....

    Anyways, this is what I wrote -

    I downloaded a nice template from new*wp*themes and currently using it. The problem is its footer. I am not a selfish person to not give credits back. I would retain the new*wp*themes links in the footer but not other junk...

    This the footer.php It starts with a closed </div> tag.

    PHP:
        </div>
        <div id="footer">Copyright Â© <a href="<?php bloginfo('home'); ?>"><strong><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></strong></a>  - <?php bloginfo('description'); ?></div>
        <?php // This theme is released free for use under creative commons licence. http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/
            // All links in the footer should remain intact.
            // These links are all family friendly and will not hurt your site in any way.
            // Warning! Your site may stop working if these links are edited or deleted
    ?>
        <div id="footer2">Powered by <a href="http://wordpress.org/"><strong>WordPress</strong></a> | Shop the Best <ahref="http://www.bestincellphones.com/free-phones.asp">Free CellPhone</a> Deals. | Thanks to <a href="http://www.thepiggybanker.com/">Top CD Rates</a>, <a href="http://www.bankingzen.com/">Bank Rates</a> and <a href="http://ukcreditsecrets.co.uk">Bad Credit</a></div>
    </div>
    <?php
         wp_footer
    ();
        echo
    get_theme_option("footer")  . "\n";
    ?>
    </body>
    </html>
    If I try to delete links in footer2, my theme stops working. How do I do that? Anyone, please? All the themes from there site has this validation. Anyone has any solution?

    Thanks for your reply. I checked all the php files for the word "footer". I don't see any code relevant to that particular footer functionality...

    I have attached the zip file. May be... some one who has better knowledge in php can help out, please?

    Just copy and paste the files you want to delete to another folder, delete what you want from your site and test it out to see if it works.

    If not reinstall those original files.

    I tried that... what I tried was deleting (or changing) only one link from the list of links against "footer2". For example say I am trying to delete or change this link
    which is under footer2, it breaks the theme. I mean the website becomes non-functional.

    Then, I restored the footer.php file back to my server then the theme works fine.

    Actually, the problem is not how to bring my broken blog back. Rather, it is about how do I remove those junk links with out breaking my site. Pls help guys....

    Awesome! Yes, it did work :) I compared your file with the theme's file and saw the changes... How did you find them out?

    I appreciate your effort... thanks bud!

    well, i use test and error, after delete the error message and nothing change, then i find all eval code or encrypt code, found it in theme function.php and decode it, you will see the real function, i only delete code in the function, not the function it self, coz if i'm delete the function it will be require much editing to other file.

    hope you understand that, sorry coz my English not fluent

    bzy39 - I understood what you mean... You are saying that you decoded and then deleted the content of the function alone and not the function itself. Thanks mate!

    Thanks Conas! Mine was base64_decode and hence had to use http://www.tools4noobs.com/online_php_functions/base64_decode/

    Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate for spending your time on this.

    Those who release themes with 6 junk credit links think the users will keep those?
    They must be idiots.

    I always retain the wordpress.org and the theme author. The rest - Never.
    I see good looking themes with footers like "buy viagra cheap" "online casino" and "birth control".

    They actually encode these as if it takes more than 15 seconds to decode it.

    Anybody help me fix this error on my wordpress blog?

    This theme is released under creative commons licence, all links in the footer should remain intact

    I can't access my wordpress dashboard and when i go to my website this error happens.

    Thanks

    If you can't access the wp dashboard, access the theme folder through the FTP client and rename the curently active theme to something else. This will force Wordpress to use the default theme and you'll be able to reach the admin dashboard again.
