Deleting a website and reusing articles/content?

I started on a project about 6 months ago and just came up with an idea on how to make the project better so i want to start over with new domain. Current site has about 45 articles and all articles are indexed on google. Can i delete current website and use the same exact articles on my new website? Will this affect SEO negatively ?

Also should i wait for google to deindex current articles before i repost them on new site?

Also i want to point out that i plan on adding a paragraph or two to each article that i will use but the first few paragraphs of each article will be exactly the same.

Anyone have experience of doing something similar?

Just do a 301 for each article to the new article, and use the Site moving tool on Google Search console.

Id rather not do that as i would like to start fresh with linkbuilding on this new project.

I was in the same situation as you. from my experience, yes, you can just delete your old website and use the content in your new one. Make sure that the old website get de-indexed first. Probably other members would have better suggestions.

I agree, and have done this before. It should work well if all the cached content are removed from Google.

After it has been deleted, then you can use the content in new site.

I wouldn't worry so much about the old data, its very common that is old data indexed and that is removed if its a 404 or 301 as HTP response code on the URL of the page that doesn't exist any more.

You can delete it and add complete new URL-structure. I would recommend that and 301 the old URLs to new
