For the sake of productivity and other similar reasons I deleted my Facebook profile. I plan on bringing it back after I get all the work, projects, life, etc in order before I start wasting 3 hours a day not caring about friends from high schools Friday nights or have the urge to drop a status update on my phone (deleted app). Although Facebook is a great place (especially in your early 20's) to stay connected it is also one of my lifes biggest distractions. I gaurentee productivity without it.

I just moved and it's time to get serious, make some money, and get everything in balance.

When I activate my Facebook I'll dig up this thread post and recount what happened and why I turned it on. 20k in 2 months would do it.

thoughtful thinking :D

In my case i deleted msn and yahoo messengers off my pc and i am saving few hours a day.

I deleted my FB account too. It is time wasting to be there and updating the posts each now and then. I am still trying to find out some legit source to earn 700 USD a month. 20K in 2 months is too much for me to imagine. :D

i've noticed that whenever i remove an unproductive activity from my life, i tend to just replace it with another equally unproductive activity.
hope it works out better for you :\

productivity is learned. check out jason fladlien's 48 hours to double your productivity from member downloads. i'm using it now.

i get all my shit done. but it's not focused. now i'm like 3 to 4 hours. and i'm done for the day. I run a callcenter, have employees, few business to run. but i get it done. literally.

After one day its liberating. Sounds like I took a needle out, but its more like losing your cell phone and that feeling of relief when you realize you can't be contacted, but of course its temporary. I didn't just decide to quite out of necessity of addiction, in the last month I have been getting more and more focused and this just seems like a right time to cut it off - turn it back on toward New Years and the holidays when drinking, snowboard trips and pictures matter and when my friends ask what the f&ck happened. Haha

BHW > FB :p
