Deleted Domain With Backlinks

Hi, not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question, but if i find a deleted domain that is recently deleted but still has say 17 000 backlinks to it, would it be worth buying and redirecting that domain to my own site if it is in the same niche as mine? Would i get more traffic?
