Delete Google Plus Page to Remove Bad Reviews

I am working on a company that didn't rebrand, but is under new management. They have about 20 bad reviews from years prior, and thats very, very hard to overcome. Ranking isnt an issue bc most searches are direct. Can we delete and start a new page- will that get rid of the bad reviews?
