Hey
Deleted member 1603965 - thanks for making this thread. Don't worry the platform is working as expected.
In this case, the opening post was posted by a newbie account. Newbie accounts are subject to an automated then manual review before their posts go live based on specific criteria.
While the date/time they create the post is maintained, you'll only be notified when the post has passed review and it becomes visible to you.
Another common scenario where this may occur is, let's say, you're watching a specific subforum, in this case, Making Money. The OP posts a thread somewhere else—let's say Lounge. Our moderators will pick this up and move it into the Making Money section where it's more relevant. You'll only be notified when the thread is moved to the Making Money section.
So, whilst it may appear that the notification is delayed, you're actually receiving it as soon as the criteria you've set are met.
In scenario 1 as soon as the post is manually reviewed and set live (which is what happened in this case) you'd receive a notification.
In scenario 2, you'd be notified once the criteria for your notification were met. IE there is a new thread in the Making Money section.
Obviously, these are only a couple of scenarios in a world of notifications, but don't worry, as soon as the threads hit your criteria, the notifications are pushed.
Hope this makes sense to you.
