can google deindex only a certain page from a website if that page gets attacked or will it damage the root domain instead of that page?

It will most likely effect the sub page though there is so chance of the entire domain tanking if the attack is large enough. Smaller sites are more prone to this.

^ What the_demon said. However, the result could be so unpredictable as judging criteria by Google may differ in each situation.
