I've had a site that has been de-indexed for more than a year, it still gets traffic from yahoo and Bing, and yes I still have ad-sense on it and I get clicks and get paid.

Personally, I would be cautious about using Adsense simply because you have had your site de-indexed because it does not meet the quality criteria.
The same sort of quality site criteria would apply to Adsense.
If I were you, I would drip feed some articles into the site. For an article directory you could write about SEO, backlinking, social media etc etc

hi, the site has about 28000 articles,they were about 65-75 unique, and readable.
I think that google deindexed the page because in one month has been published about 18000 pages.
now, i keep the site and i just removed adsense.

I would immediately remove adsense and thank God that my adsense account was still ok.
