No real SEO benefits for having a dedicated IP address, unless you are interlinking with other sites that you own on the same server.
If you mean pumper sites (that you own) linking to a money site. It helps if each pumper site has a separate IP address for IP diversity, and to reduce the chances of being de-indexed.
If you're trying to rank locally, e.g. in Canada, then it helps for the site to be hosted in Canada, so effectively it would have a Canadian IP address.

thanks, so no real benefits. but what if many blackhat/ scammy sites are hosted on the same shared ip adress? would that affect anything or only if I link them all together?
