Decrypting passwords

Hi guys!

Long story short....

A client has had a mishap with there Netgear ReadyNas box.
We've got it up and running, but we need access to the admin panel.

No one knows the password, nor the recovery info required.

Their PCs have stored the password in the Microsoft Credential Manager.
Unfortunately we can't simply click "show" and it's only allowed us to create a backup file (.crd extension)

So my problem now is, it's encrypted!

Does any one have any suggestions on deciphering the file?
 
Well, I don't think there's an easy solution here, unless you hire some1 like Alan Turing lol

Haha! Well, albeit a fluke... I've done it!

I found a small application online.
I restored the clients credentials to an off grid PC, installed the application from USB (just to play it safe!) and voila! It revealed what was behind the dots!
 
interesting! you mind sharing the details so everyone can learn what was the exact trick?
