You can't decrypt a file. The encryption process is destructive, like so many compression methods.
I'm sorry but there's nothing to do.

Duhhhh. This is utterly wrong. Of course it 's decryptable.

What Ioncube does is it translates the source code to its own internal set of opcodes instead on the normal one to do the code execution. The process is naturally reversible - of course you won't get the original variable names, but the flow and functionality will be there.

Compression methods are of 2 varieties. Lossy and lossless. Lossy can't be reversed, lossless can. A code encryption can't be "lossy" in terms of functionality because it wouldn't guarantee the proper execution.

Decoding a program without variables and functions names it's something somewhat destructive. It's obvious it doesn't destroy funcionality. If he asked the question, I supposed he need an usable PHP code in output.
    Give him the solution...

Of course it 's usable and you admitted it by saying the functionality is not destroyed. Tada.

The solution is that it can be decrypted. There's people with the know how and the tools that offer such services. But if he follows your ignorant advice, he won't be able to reach his goal.
