December Core 2020 Update: How did it affect you ?

That's why I don't fear updates now. My content is awesome, backlinks are good, so everything will work out in the end.
 
Proof that google just don't know shit? I'm finishing a full clone of a erotic massage guide. Full clone. I'm just replacing images with my own meta tags. Four months and I'm ranking #3 #4 #7 and #11 for 34 keywords. When using mobile, due to google places I can rank #2. What more do you need to get rid of white hat bullshit from SEO gurus? The site ain't even finished and I'm ranking better than the original one which is 13 years old. C'mon people! I'm not a genius, everything I do I do because I had great examples from BHW members and their tips and journeys.
 
My one site on Tech niche went from 125 organic clicks to 75 clicks overnight on 4th December and another in Coding niche up by 30% (this is the same site which was hit last year november update).


Not much links on Tech site as it is 1 year old and not much backlinks and 100+ posts.

Any suggestions to get back my previous traffic?
 
Lost my rich snippet and over 60% traffic. Ouch!

Last time i update this site is in march 2020.

But its still too early to judge, you know its google we are talking about. Since this site already get nice boost at october but then back to normal.

Site had a few "Google ehmagerd core vitals errors" in GSC, which I have fixed yesterday. Only thing that comes to mind. They did bitch that their core vitals will be a factor in 2020, so who knows.

Not sure about core vitals as a ranking factor, when you check big sites like new york times, they are full of scripts and they have insanely bad core vitals and scores. It will be hard for them to fix it. Maybe it will affect small sites only.
 
Slightly higher traffic recently + I'm back on google with webpage which was removed from search results
 
Awww content is not king?.......buy some PPC and make G happy.
 
I don't even want to spend some time on that one. I have added a lot of content there when the webpage was sent for reconsideration but it was never approved.

I will probably wait until the domain gets expired and delete everything.
 
Normal. Not much effect seen. Going to concentrate on content rather than the update.

gone from 4k daily visitors to 2k, balls. Links are ok, so will work on the assumption my content isn't awesome/scientific enough for the Google EAT team and work on this.
 
similar to lots of you, it appears the people who actually have worked hard on their sites have been hit with 30% traffic loss, and the sites that haven't been touched have gone up, very odd.

Not odd; google has been hunting SEOs for years, what is the big news here?
 
What we know from Google, Like all core updates, this was a global update and was not specific to any region, language or category of web sites. It is a classic “broad core update” that Google releases every few months or so.
In this case, it was the longest stretch since a confirmed broad core update. It seems that larger domains are so far seriously affected. Many who were either negatively or positively impacted saw gains or declines of 10% to over 100% of their previous levels of organic search traffic.
