I saw a bar of gold once. They told me I could keep it if I could pick it up with 2 fingers. Bastards must have glued it to the table, I was freaking strong for an 8 year old.

I was once an intern at a bank and a client withdrew 500k (local currency) that's about 11k USD.

about $50 to 100 million dollars on pallets.

it was used to pay contractors and what not in Iraq. it wasn't even in a secure room. just a locked cupboard.

it never even really registered what it was, it looked like a prop from a film. my boss took me in to give me a block and said, 'obviously mums the word here'. yea whatever.

now in hindsight I think a great idea would have been to kick in the door, pile as much out the fire exit as I could, take it home, and throw a mattress on it. it would be a cool bed.

I saw the gold inside the fort Knox robbed

In a movie. :P

$200,000 when I invested in a new 3D app business many years ago. Let's just say that will never happen again.........................EVER!!

I had to send my ex-partner a 400k cashiers check once, so went to BOA to get it. The cashiers looked at me like i was robbing the place. Some where whispering and giggling. It took 30 minutes to get it cleared and it was mid-vacation so i was not exactly dressed like someone who would be handling such a large transaction. Good times. That guy turned out to be such an asshole though, that check should of been "lost in the mail" in retrospect.

it was around $500k they brought money in sacks I took some pics too if you want i will PM you I used to work for XTB forex

millions. I used to work as a security guard in a bank, and they had massive roller cases of money, about 6 feet high, by 4 feet square. They would put it in the incinerator to burn it out of supply. If anyone is skilled in bank robbery, contact me for the address details, and i'll ask for no more than 20% of your total stolen.

around 90k Euros :) sold some stuff back in 2013 and we did cash instead of bank transfers

it was 2002 and I was 11...

So what the fuck is your story... How much cash did you see and how did it happen.

You're the same age as my little brother, ha.

It was around $53,000 and some change. It was when the housing market in the United States was still relatively stable (2006). I really just got lucky and 3 houses I showed were sold to walkthroughs I had be doing for the last month.

When I did finance work/interning at a casino in college, there was this idea that the required amount of cash to keep on hand was http://www.casinosformoney.com/how-much-money-does-a-casino-keep-on-hand:

Every single slot machine hitting a jackpot at the same time,
Every single chip that the casino had on hand, and
Every single outstanding payment to players.

It was generally close to $100 to $120 million. Higher on the weekends, lowest on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

As part of my initial "tour", I got to see the cash room. I had to change into a pocketless one-piece jumpsuit (which is what the cash handlers in the back room and cash wranglers at the front of the house wore at all times, while handcuffed to their steel cash cart).

The first room was exactly how you'd expect. Minimalist, extremely bright, buzzing lights. Like something out of Men in Black. There were cameras trained on all points and a guard positioned at a door that looked just like a bank vault.

The finance VP took me through that door and into the actual cash room.

Jesus fuck.

It was amazing. Stacks and stacks of hundred dollar bills situated behind bulletproof glass boxes strapped and locked down to steel and lead shelving systems bolted to the walls, towering twenty-five feet into the air. Heavy rolling ladders like you've seen in libraries were situated one on each of the sides of the room. Three men in the middle of the room counting cash using http://www.cumminsallison.com/static/loaded_images/ticket,-currency-counting,-check-scanning-solutions-CumminsAllison-3551.jpeg and talking shit about football (American football, mind you), occasionally writing down figures on a clipboard before re-checking.

One wall was empty except for four large doors. I asked about that, and my explanation was as follows (paraphrasing, it's been several years):

"Our bank's armored cars back up into the area where the door is, and is suctioned and locked into the door frame like an airplane is attached to a terminal for passengers to pass through."

I asked how much cash was in the room that day, and how much had gone in and out since the day began. She walked over to a computer station on one end of the massive table in the center of the room and logged in and tapped some keys.

"$14.8 million coin-out, $110.2 million cash reserves."

I was in a room with $110 million in cash.

That's just evil!

$4,000 I had to go send someone though western union, which I now regret that I did.

LOL I can't believe it, I was going to share the exact same story :D
I sent $4,000 via Western Union for some crappy SEO service back in the day when I was starting out. Still regret it :D

I never really keep much cash, but I remember having a 2co payoneer card. I used to withdraw cash from it and put it in my bank account. Sometimes I couldn't be bothered going straight to the bank so the amount would pile up for days. At some point I had around $15k in local currency which could cover my entire bed lol
