Hello, I was in a passionate relationship with a woman who left me for another man. I understand that things will take time to change but as of now, I cannot stop thinking about her. Do you have any experience of having such a loss? How long would it take me to get over it?

Just a few mins if you have enough willpower. You just have to understand the fact that the fault is not with you but her. It happens all across the world for several guys like you every single minute.

You can choose to cry over it and waste all your precious time or man up and do something productively so you can find a much better women sooner.

It's all in your mind.

It will take some time, try to keep yourself busy in other ventures.

Depends really. Few days to a few years. Don't be a sucker, force yourself over it and keep on living.
Distraction helps, distract yourself with a trip, work, hobby, whatever. Not alcohol - that can bite back.

You just have to understand the fact that the fault is not with you but her.
Maybe it is because of him. Doesn't really matter, move on.

This kinda happened to me a few years (she was screwing someone behind my back and left me for him) ago about 18-19 years ago I went to the club he was at and broke his arm, nose and leg. I was due to marry her and everything! I felt AMAZING :) but I also got some legal issues with it... So I would not recommend that!!!

Some "time" passed and I ended up hitting the gym and business hard. I put all my spare time in the gym I felt and looked 100x times better, I made a success of the business met someone new, got married, had 2 kids could not be any happier.

Life sucks. Stuff is going to hurt, no one will understand.

Don't go texting her, calling her, crying in voice mails or emails / social media. Everyone does it but don't.

Like I said focus on work and gym :)

This is something I've done and a few of my children have done to address awful things that worked pretty well. Maybe it will help you too.

First - acceptance. When she comes to mind, remind yourself the relationship is over and it ended in a way that means it will never work out. She could come back begging and crying and you'd always be worried about it happening again. It's over. You're sad about it being over, and that's normal. Doing that makes it easier to think about other things.

Second - figure out what you're feeling insecure about. Bad things shake your confidence. It's normal. Figuring out how it's hurt you helps you rebuild.

Third - Make a list of everything you connect with these things. In your opinion, what does a smart man do? An attractive man? A good partner? How does he spend his time? What habits does he have?

Four - Work some of those into your new routine. If you think a successful man gets up and goes for a jog, start jogging. If a good partner is someone with a savings account, beef up your savings.

After 3 weeks or so, your self-esteem and confidence will start repairing itself and you won't have to struggle as much to keep this woman off your mind. Plus you'll have some new habits that you can keep up or ditch depending on how much you enjoy the results. Good luck.

Only time can heal certain problems.

Get to know new people, communicate with them...find what they like doing. Organise doing things you like with them...and before you know it you'll realise why you wasted so much time on missing them.

So much this!

What you're experiencing is a very real form of grief. I don't agree that you can just "man up" and move on. You have to do the work and feel the loss in order to move past it. Allow yourself to hurt. It's going to take as long as it takes.

But in the meantime, creating some positive habits in your life that will help you progress will help you to heal that much quicker.

thats because you though shes the one. you should always have a mindset that your woman will leave you for chad. with such mindset you would never get this dissapointed and sad

It happened to me with my first girlfriend, and after that, it's easy. After that you forget them very easy and fast :D. So hold on, and talk to other bitches.

And when you find another woman, don't give her too much importance or you'll get hurt again.

PS: And please don't worry. Focus on other things. Focus on how to make MONEY my friend, so you will completely forget her. And when that happens, she will contact you. And that is the moment when you should DESTROY HER feelings :D
