Hi guys,
As I’m writing this, it’s 4 a.m. here, and for the past two nights I haven’t been able to sleep because of lower back pain and muscle pain in my shoulders.

If someone asked me, “If you could go back to 2010, what would you do?” I wouldn’t say I’d buy Bitcoin. I’d say I’d buy a proper, standard computer desk and chair.
Believe me, I’m not joking.

I’m almost 33 now, and for a while my back muscle pain has been killing me. I can only sleep after taking two or three painkillers.
Because in past years, instead of using a proper desk and chair, I lazily used this damn laptop on the floor, my spine has become slightly crooked. But even that very small amount is seriously messing me up.

I’m also scared of doctors, so I don’t go maybe they’ll prescribe surgery.
Overall, if you’re younger right now, know that the body really starts to decline after 30, and you need to start taking care of yourself from now.

Don’t sit behind a computer for long periods, and don’t forget light exercise and stretching.
I hope you always stay healthy.

A proper desk and chair are some of the most valuable things you shouldn’t take lightly if you work long hours on PC.
If I might add, getting light blocking glasses should also be on that list : )

For exercise or taking break intervals while working, there’s an app I used before but I don’t have it anymore since I changed PC.
It blocks your screen at set intervals and won’t let you use the PC for a short time

It recommends things like blinking your eyes, stretching, and similar activities for a few minutes, then you can get back to what you were doing on the PC.

I don’t remember the name of the app now but I’m sure you can search and find something with a similar function.

PS: sorry to hear about your troubles, OP : )

people doesn't care about their health especially when they are young

also forgot to mention somehow my knee is injured because i didn't have good chair and were using a silly chair

1. Visit a chiropractor to have your body put back where it belongs. Tell them to use gentle corrections

2. Visit an Applied Kinesiology Practitioner (Muscle Testing). They can put your body "in balance"
AND find out what is "throwing you out of balance"

Look for things like -

Causes of stress
Physical (injury)
Emotional (relationships, job, money)
Chemical (foods, vitamins, bad chemicals (MSG), bad oils, etc
Electrical (microwave food, electric blankets, wifi exposure, electric clock by your bed, )
Turn OFF Wifi
Turn OFF cell phones unless you are using it

Get a gamer chair. Those guys spend many hours in them. Search the reviews

Sincerely,

The Eye

When i was a teen I installed a mounted pull up bar to the wall of my room,
I did ' A dead hang exercise ' everyday all until now to my late twenties.

No back problems as for now...
also put a comfy pillow behind your chair

Almost 33? You look a lot older in your profile picture

I used to go to this ayurveda massage place, suddenly started standing straight lol. No need for a western doctor after that tbh. As a bonus they'd massage my face too so no need for fillers lol. They'd also massage my head so bonus hair growth and they'd do my feet also which was basically better than any pedicure. I miss them eh. You need to keep doing it for it to work though and somehow I didn't have access to that after changing neighbourhoods and now I'm in another country.

@javadth
You have a very powerful answer here
Not a doctor, but a close doctor I now approves most of what is stated here
33 is still a very young age

Are we talking physical pain from the grind, or the pain of looking at GSC after an update? Both are brutal in their own way.

damn dude, why you use the floor? lol for months? all you can do is get a desk and good chair, and try to reshape your spine back into the correct position. It will probably take years before its fixed. I been working 30 years on desk and chair, full time, and i never had problems that couldn't be fixed stretching and reaching your back, and a slight stretch and every day walk. Best of luck.

And dude, please don't be one of those that keep boringly going on about you would've been buying bitcoin back in the day. You didn't so forget it, and make use of the opportunities in front of you now! Like a new desk and chair, and regular hourly back exercises.

lack of knowledge or what can I say stupidity

manythings
when i was kid in 10 to 15 we was an medium average family had no good pc chairs using plastic chairs it caused to my right knee injury i think minisc

and in 24 to 27 i had a good chair and table but i was using floor

Get in there! Well done bud, I suggest you also get a yoga mat, and if you can afford the space, and stretch as much as possible EVERY day in yoga and tai chi poses, I highly recommend a big yoga air ball too though, that you can try and stretch over backwards with. I done that every day for 6 months when i was in the looney bin, and it defiantly helped me keep a good posture. If i had the space to keep one I would but i only have space for a mat. Got to make those millz so i can afford an extra 5 feet square at least! lol

Keep us updated with how it goes...

Hey guys, I wanted to give you a quick update on how I’m doing. Just like that. Some of you might be curious, some happy, some upset.

About 40–50 days ago, unfortunately, I lost my dear aunt. That same night after the funeral, the pain in my shoulder started again. I thought it would go away quickly, but it lasted 3–4 days.

Even after I got back to my own city, I was eating with my cousin when, an hour later, I suddenly felt a really sharp pain in my chest area or diaphragm. My cousin, who was fast asleep, I had to wake him up by force so he could take me to the hospital. But as soon as we got in the car, he said he’d left the car keys somewhere and couldn’t remember where.

Long story short, we grabbed a taxi and went to the clinic. They quickly did an ECG and said there was nothing wrong, just a bit of high blood pressure. After an IV and a sedative, they sent me home.

But when I got back home, the pain started again. The next day I went back to the clinic, got another IV, and they sent me home again. I kept insisting they do an ultrasound for me, but they kept saying it was just a muscle spasm and it would pass. Until, after three nights of no sleep, I went back to the clinic and a young doctor looked at me and said, “You have a gallbladder problem. You need to go to the ER right now because your face and eyes have turned yellow.”

My brother rushed me to the ER of a well-equipped hospital. The ER doctor examined me and immediately said I had to have surgery right then to remove my gallbladder. Of course, they took a blood test and we waited for the results.

While I was in the bathroom, I noticed my urine had become very dark and coffee-colored.

When the test results came back, the doctor said my body was infected and they couldn’t operate yet. I had to be admitted.

I spent a whole week in the hospital with only an IV, not allowed to eat or drink anything. My whole body was in severe pain and the pain wouldn’t let me sleep, so they had to inject me with morphine and sedatives constantly.

An ultrasound and MRI showed that two gallstones had dropped into the duct between the liver and pancreas, blocking it and causing the infection in my body.

The surgeon said they first had to remove those two stones before they could do the main surgery.

I was discharged from that hospital and went to another one. The next morning I had an ERCP (like an endoscopy) and stayed there one night. The surgeon at this hospital also said I had to have my gallbladder removed — there was no other option.

Two weeks later, I was admitted to a third hospital and taken for surgery in the morning.

The new surgeon had told me that because of the stone removal, the operation had to be open surgery and laparoscopy wasn’t possible.

But when I was lying on the operating table, he said, “We’re doing it laparoscopically.”

After the surgery, when I woke up, I had terrible pain again and they had to give me morphine once more.

Now, as I’m writing this, it’s been almost 5 days. I still have pain, but I’m getting better.

One thing just came to mind: 5–6 years ago, I went to the hospital for an ultrasound. The guy before me in line was telling the doctor that he didn’t have a gallbladder. I remember thinking to myself, “How is it even possible for someone not to have a gallbladder?” And now here I am in the exact same situation.

Costs: ~1500$
