Hello all,

i'm trying to recover a 2 years old website which i think got penalty from google due to frivolous action made in the past (example creations of tons of low quality backlinks).
I think also that the site is deindex by Google.

1 quick question
If the site has the domain abcd and now i take a new domain ab-cd moving also the content would it be a solution or google will extend the penalty to the new site also?

thanx

Just get the site deindexed. Move the content to ab-cd from abcd would be fine. Remember just dont make a 301 from abcd, or the penalty will follow.

It depends what content you have. If it is high quality use it otherwise start fresh and no 301.

I would say dont even move the content.... Start fresh.

Okay. If you have thousands of high quality articles or even in the 2 digits number of articles OF CAUSE you should reuse them. I don't know what aka sam is on about. But remember you have to wait for them to get deindexed, which can take some time :) So start out on your new domain, write some quality content and add old content when it deindexes :)

I will say be REALLY SURE it is De-indexed before embarking on another journey. You can also attempt to play by Google's rules and contact them to re-index your website. No matter the step you take, diversify and be safe don't depend on Google alone.

thanks for your responses!

it seems that not all pages are DE-indexed so i can't do anything at the moment, is there a way to force indexing or de-indexing pages? maybe using Google webmasters tools?

I suggest you should just start over. Time is money, there is no sense beating a dead horse.
