I was de-indexed about 3 weeks ago after having my page show up blank. I was worried that the site might be banned and it still hasn't returned to the index, but the backlinks are still showing up in google, does that mean for sure the site was NOT banned? Any ideas on getting indexed again quickly other then resubmission to google through webmaster tools?

    Site:yourdomain.com ... anything appear?

Getting back after a ban can take some time.. if your serious about the site then it'll still be online in 12 months time, not serious then you delete it the same day :)

Build some links and see what happens

site:yourdomain.com shows no results, but link:yourdomain.com still shows back links. I'd heard on a real ban you lose your back links too? Or is that not true?

I always thought a ban was a ban.. simple.. although I find it hard to believe you were banned for showing a blank page ? Even if it were recrawled with the blank pages then it'd take some time for them to be de-indexed. You would know what you did if you have been banned..

yeah not sure, just there was an issue with renewals and with the sites being blank for awhile and over 200 of my sites across different servers got de-indexed, and still haven't come back 3 weeks later. i mean it could have been a wide variety of reasons for the de-index, but it just coincides with the site downtime..

You won't get banned for a blank homepage. Is your domain new and do you have some content on the site right now?
My advice would be to fix the homepage and add lots of unique content (make sure it's good quality). Build some fresh backlinks.

Just curious, what do you think was the common link between the 200 sites that could have led to the ban? I had something simmilar happen, prob related to cloaking...

I have no idea- I have over 5K sites, and 200 from around 4 different hosts (just some from each host) all got de-indexed at the same time. I haven't done anything over the top with the sites, they were all small sites with unique content, good external links (none of them were linked together). For backlinking I don't do anything big- just around 2-10 backlinks per day from article directories and social bookmarking mostly, but a small amount of scrapebox and profiles. They are small sites so maybe they got a manual review and looked like mfa sites- but I wouldn't think that would get them de-indexed.

They also had a tag cloud with keywords and the keywords were linking to blank pages, other then that we had the downtime/blank site issue for about a day and after that that giant number got de-indexed.

We also had about 5 pages of unique content and 5 pages of auto content that we have removed now just in case. It just doesn't seem like we did anything very drastic to attract that kind of negative reaction, but I guess the things above could have caused it? Very frustrating.
