.de domain setup - need bhw help (registrar, DENIC and hosting)

I just transferred a .de domain on internetbs.

It asked me on the whois data to enter address from Germany. It's mandatory because of some regulation. I don't have a German address..I don't live in Germany! What should I do?

I put there a fake one...but from what I read in Terms and Conditions...In case of complains or random checks, I need to show proof that I live at that address or they will delete my domain. How do you guys go around this? And I don't want that because it's a HIGH Pr domain.

Ok. It seems like no one bothered to say anything so far. I am not sure why, maybe is because i have only 24 posts and I'm a newbie. A lot of people on this forum...the "pros" especially...complain that more and more people post stupid questions.

First, there is no such a thing as stupid questions but rather stupid answers.

You should know that when you reply with an off/topic nonsense message or start complaining about those people by creating other threads, you pretty much fall under their category or even worse. Instead of saying "another stupid thread or post" be smart and lead the people in the right direction. Because that is what a community should do.

Second, I did research and I found this registrar iWantmyname d0t com. For a 5$ fee they will give you a German address for your .de domain. I always try to be as safe as possible so I moved my domain with them and I will pay 5 bucks. I will keep this thread updated in case I will encounter any problems with these guys.

internetbs was not bad at all as a registrar...great support, but they could not offer me a German address...

yes, sadly it's part of the german law to enter your real address. my experience: when you have german stuff on your page, you will have german competitors which know the fact with the address too...So be careful.

It has been a busy day, the entire population of BHW is on the CEOSam thread, no one got time for other threads.

I have registered many .de domains at Godaddy and they never ask me for anything, and I am from the UK.

hosting a german domain, you have to enter your CORRECT adress ..and puttin all this stuff into ur impressum.

Using a fake-adress is against the german law! be careful.
