Dating Site with Fake Profiles? Is it Profitable?

Where I live, I've came across a number of local dating sites which scream "fake" from miles away.

The domain name is in the style of "horny girls" (this in my mother language) or something like that. The profiles of the "girls" seem to be fake from miles away also. Even within the same profile you can find picture of two different girls, yet guys still send them comments (in one of those sites, there's a comment section)

What really shocks me is, how many gullible men exist. Do these men really believe those profiles are real?

Anyway, my point was to create a local website myself with people of my country as the target audience, but one which would seem more genuine.

Modelmayhem is really a goldmine for finding pics. There are pictures from women posted more than a decade ago still available so you can collect pictures from various women there. Many of those women have posted pictures where they look very "casual" and "everyday" and not "model-like". Casual and everyday looks look more genuine in a dating site, unlike a provocative model-like picture which screams fake.

So I have the "fake" profiles. I have in mind a domain name already, which seems more genuine than the "horny girls" thing.


Now about the technical things...how do I start? What's the best hosting provider or CMS for such websites? How do I get paid? I also thought about creating fake male profiles also, in order to look even more genuine. A dating site where the women/men ratio is equal seems more genuine, instead of one where 9 out of 10 profiles are female. I'll stop creating male profiles once the site takes off of course, since genuine males will sign up.

There's a sucker born every minute. Look up Ashley Madison. They were wildly popular some years back, and I remember seeing ads for them everywhere, even national TV. Their database got leaked and it turned out the "millions" of women looking to have an affair was really only 12,000.

What you want to do is doable, but I'd start with baby steps before you get too technical. Look into whitelabel dating platforms. All you have to do is slap your logo and they provide a database of real users (women). I'm sure a majority are inactive, but enough for you to get started.

You're being too naive. I remember having the same mindset, trying to make my ads appear more realistic. I mean women on dating sites don't post nudes, right? Wrong. Your target audience probably never had a date in their life. They're on the computer with their wang out clicking on a dating ad, interested. Think what type of person that is.

It's seems ridiculous but going the angle of hardcorexxxslutsnearyou.com is 1000% going to perform better than localmeetups.com. The type of men who fall for these probably never seen a woman naked in real life (without paying). Put yourself in their mindset and give them the fantasy they're looking for.

OK I signed up to white label. But I don't see my country in the country option. It's in Europe...so shall I go with UK? Does it matter?

There's plenty of whitelabel options Some easy to find, some not so much. I'm sure it should take you longer than 20 minutes to find something solid that works for you. Don't go for the first shiny thing you come across.

Very difficult and would need a lot of capital.

Well I created my website, and now I'm waiting for approval. I figured out how this HTML thing works with the header and footer, but apart from that it seemed to be rather easy. Suspiciously easy. I don't know. Never used this platform before.

So, you're gonna be competing with the gazillion of the already established dating profiles out there?

It's supposed to be easy, that's the point of whitelabels. The hard part now is the marketing. If they have a PPL program, start with that until you start getting sign ups profitably. Once you're there, switch to rev-share.

In small country there is usually few local dating sites. People have more trust in dating site on their own language and they think that there is bigger chance to meet somebody local ( no one will take a trip in other country for dating ). And more then often, someone who use one local dating site, use all local sites because they are desperate. So, with smart approach I think that still can be profitable.

i'm working on a dating apps with livestraming, using fake streaming would be disaster for a longer growth, but could generates very fast revenue, but i think i'll pass this and try to build trust from the users instead, it will be hard, costing alot of operational money, but it will be worth it...

It is difficult to determine if creating a dating site with fake profiles would be profitable or not without further research.
