If a girl tells you that she is not sure this is the thing (relationship) right now. Does that mean there is hope in the future?

Some neutral advice would do me awesome.

We had sex, then she wrote me the email telling me that she didn't think this was the thing to pursue right now.
 
Sounds like a brush off to me, just her way of trying to let you down easy.
 
She said she had a great time and things were cool. Then 2 days later, I get that email

No hope in the second case.
In first case you can try to go the dating route telling her that you think things happened too fast and now you would really like to get to know her as a person, that kinda bla

Point being is if you pursue this and get the girl chances are she will make you miserable.

Now what you're going to do, is leave it! I'm not saying ignore her when she's talking to you and all, but just don't show interest. Project the image of being OKAY with it, as if nothing happened.. That might seem weird, but trust me, she'll WONDER... She might just bring this up herself! Just tell her, "Euh, you did say you weren't sure, so.." and change convo :) After that, she's gonna be sure.. Trust me :)
 
That is basically saying the sex was good.... but I can get better.

She hasn't contacted me since she sent the email. My buddies tell me to give her a week. I am at this point, just going to write it off and be minutely upset and then move on. I am one of those sensitive types.
