Datacenter proxy or Residential proxy?

The issue isn't just detection but IP reputation. Most datacenter IPs on major providers get burned by other users running aggressive automation.

Since you're doing warming (scrolling with video content), you'll burn through bandwidth fast. Residential would be safer but cost prohibitive at that scale.

Middle ground: static ISP proxies. Better reputation than datacenter, way cheaper than residential. Mix of both if budget allows: residential for your most valuable accounts, ISP for the rest.

Test small batches first: if you're getting frequent captchas or phone verification requests, the IPs are already flagged

I used to have X accounts on datacenter proxies, they no longer work and have moved all the portfolio to residential proxies with far fewer issues (automation is being detected so all accounts are now run manually)

With ~600 accounts + automation, datacenter will burn sooner or later. These IPs have a very bad reputation.

Residential proxies works, but they rotate and are priced per GB which is not ideal for you.

ISP proxies sit on middle grounds here

– better reputation than datacenter
– static IPs, means stable identity per account
– no rotation issues like residential
– much more cost-efficient at your scale

Golden setup
– 1 account per IP
– spread across as many subnets as possible since sometime the whole subnet might get banned and not only a single IP
– if one provider isn’t enough, use multiple to diversify as many subnets as possible

Mobile proxies will also work, but again you want to move away from per GB costs.

Would you have any advice on creating X accounts themselves? I understand the importance of geo matching everything - which is why I'd like to create the accounts domestically.

I have phones, I have sim cards. However, limits and best practices I am unaware. I've created 3 accounts so far, 2 on Android 4g only and 1 on an iPhone on home net. All of them say connected to web, 2 of them I've started growing with no complaints at all (both premium).

DC proxies can be used for scraping purposes. Many sellers are selling DC proxies for scraping, but they are optimised. If you are running accounts, then residential proxies are a better choice!

Pretty much as I mentioned above, setup one proxy IP/device. Since you're starting up with accounts don't rely heavily on automation, use them as a real human would use his account. And keep your accounts warmed up by scrolling through your feed.
