Database keep crushing after few hours.

With regards to MySQL running out of memory, a couple of adjustments to my.cnf could help. Depending on how much RAM your VPS has, try replacing your /etc/my.cnf with one from /usr/share/mysql - there should be multiple template files (such as my-medium.cnf, my-huge.cnf, etc) with each pre-configured for servers with different amount of resources.
With what configuration?

So do you all think he's running out of memory do to the virtual memory assigned to him or is he limited due to his mysql settings? Hope I worded that right.

That would be my guess, i mean running out of ram..

I had 150-250mb free only (which wasn't enough to operate) ... Disabling my antivirus freed an additional ~500mb

Now the site is running 10+ hours and I will wait for 24+ hours run and then will take care of all the database recommendations

If you want I will report back.

After that I will upgrade to 4gb with 2 cores

Haha knew it.. make a swapfile n u will be good to go..

The site is still up, without crashes almost 24 hours.

Today I will take care of the settings and will learn more how to create such swap file.

So... I want to cry and to kill something or eat it alive in the same time

Two days ago the server started crashing again, after 3+ weeks uptime.

Any tips are welcome.

Could be a memory leak? Or maybe the database doesn't close the processes?

Here is some info

Server details:

2 x 2.4ghz CPU
4GB DDR4 ram
80GB SSD

Only 1 site hosted on it under 100k visits a month

eKRbRiE

After long investigation and few tests I found the memory leak and managed to stabilize the server by removing 2 plugins and disabling a setting from a 3rd.

Still monitoring.

Code:
<Files xmlrpc.php>
order deny,allow
deny from all
allow from 123.123.123.123
</Files>

Why?
to prevent attacks that sends a lot of sql requests wich take a lot of ram

shitty hosting co. very often happenes with freaking Digital Ocean.
solution:
leave garbage hosting
solution 2: swap file.
solution 3: manage traffic, block creeps/ script kiddies and other a$$holes to screw your MySQL
Easy!

You are overthinking this. The problem is most likely in your host and the way they use virtualization for the VPS.
It can be a hdd mailfunction or a bad sector that can cause your crash. It can also be that you need a little more resources to run the website.

Every host has different virtualization settings, how much cores they dedicated how much swap memory to each VPS together with many other settings. 1 website on 1 vps should run just fine no matter what kind of plugins you have installed.

I can offer you a free trial VPS so you can test out if the issue is in the VPS or in the website structure.

I have 7 more websites on 7 different VPS with that provider. I did the optimization and the settings as the others. Never had a problem with any of them. The only difference between the sites are the plugins and the themes and few scripts.

Than the issue is most likely in the resources or the VPS node if it keeps on crashing.

Yes, but if possible can you list the plugins that were causing you the problems?
