Data Recovery Tool For Reformatted Hard Drive?

Hey all,

My wife's computer just crashed and she lost all her data and she's freaking out (pics of kids and stuff on there...)

Do any of you know of a data recovery tool that could recover the files? She's already reformatted it.

She downloaded something but I couldn't find a crack or keygen anywhere. Might anyone have something to do the trick?

Try using "GetData.Recover.My.Files". You can get a full version via torrents..try searching at TPB or Isohunt

plenty of recovery software out there, keep a cool head and do NOT use the drive in any way whatsoever. dont even turn it on or your files (which may still be present) may get permanently lost by being overwritten.

I recommend HIREN's boot CD.

In Bios settings adjust your CD drive as first boot device and you can use some of the HIREN's recovery tools.

I used it yesterday on one of my HDD's. It was making some clicking noise and after Windows load screen it would reboot. I left Hiren's to work all night and it fixed my HDD. So, It may be just the right thing for you too.

Just type HIREN's in a search engine and download it.

Hiren's has a number of data recovery tools. The format should be easy to get around as long as nothing has been written to the disk. I usually do this with a USB drive adapter to ensure that I really am just reading from the drive in question.

You can try Recover My files software. However, it takes ages to scan a 250GB hard disk and recover every files .... But if you have few presets, like .doc file, and particular HD section, then search will become faster.

OK.... Yeah.... Um.... and if she already started reinstalling files.....?

Any ideas that will still work?

Try to use system mechanic recovery tool. Chances are less but there are chances.

Go to search engine, type: livecdlist, and there u will find list of all live CD's and a description what they can do, also all the links to download and how to use that software.

Or just type in a search engine: HDD RECOVERY STEP BY STEP and u'll get a lot of good results.

If data is not overwritten then you can get your data back with lost of tools available on internet like stellar phoenix data recovery software.
I guess it may help you.
