Hi, I am pretty new here so first I will introduce myself, my name is Anton and I am trying to build a simple website for local restaurant specials. My question is what is the best way to gather some of this info because there are literally thousands of restaurants in my city and of course I can gather this data manually but it will takes months, is there any way to automate some of this process like some kind of code or script. I have seen sites with thousands of entries for restaurants even in multiple cities. So if anyone can shed some light on how to do this, I would appreciate it. I am outsourcing the development of my site btw so I can have them do the coding for this.

ps. sorry if im posting in the wrong thread, not sure where this should go.
Thanks

Anton

You just find a complete list of the restaurants and then you will make the programmers do the job for you.
Its not a really hard job if the list meets certain criteria.
If you provide a site with a list of restaurants those who are making your site will probably be capable of extract the data you are looking for and put it in your database.

I've made 2 posts in the past hour recommending this, but it's true, it's probably my 2nd favourite piece of software (after scrapebox) - buy & download ubot, you should be able to make a bot for it fairly quickly.
