Dark Tok - App Idea

I have an idea that has been on my mind lately. I came across the source code of a TikTok rip-off and I thought about starting something similar but with a twist: the content would be less regulated, allowing for soft porn, porn, racism, hacking-related content, and so on.

I understand that it's important to avoid crossing legal boundaries, so any child pornography, gore, drugs, and weapons would be strictly prohibited on the platform.

Essentially, the app would include content that is not allowed on the official app, along with an improved chance of getting your video featured on the "For You" page.

My idea is to create and publish the platform, and users would need to download it from a website (I'm not sure if it would be app store-friendly).

Once we have enough users, I would establish partnerships with marketing agencies that promote Only Fans models. I would promote their content in exchange for a percentage of their sales.
Additionally, I would like to start small projects like money-making apps or free streaming services and promote them using the Dark Tok app.
I also can add paid ads, livestreams with points and maybe a "get paid" feature, something like Youtube.

What do you think? Do you believe there is still enough space for an app like this?

That's why i was thinking to create a website (just like Instander, Youtube Vanced and so on)
 
if ya talking about the porn there are already like 3 apps that use this and they just took videos from some porn websites and reddit and create users and upload themself though it has very high traffic!

There’s a reason why you don’t see such apps anywhere. The reason is not that nobody thought about it. The reason is because such apps will face a lot of trouble from the governments throughout… as well as the service providers (like hosting and domain providers for example).

Still, does not sound impossible if you could get a bulletproof registrar and hosting (if you manage to find one!) . Best of luck!

Also, don’t bother making an app because you won’t be accepted anywhere. If you do end up making it, serve on web and make the site mobile friendly. For providing app like experience turn the web app into a pwa.

You're better off creating a straight up porn site, at least it's regulated and you won't have trouble with the goverment.

As an example, I've seen Swyp. They managed to get the app published on Appstore even though the content is pornographic.

But i will still face any problem is the app is configured to work just as TikTok and the hidden features remain ... well, hidden (for the hosting providers, ofc)

It would suffer many restrictions
