This isnt good but i thought of it. Anyone succssefully use events like this kid in the news with the CEO in usa. It trends so fast people are clicking. Cant you use it for backlinks

using trending events for backlinks will work but it is not suitable for long term SEO.

okay , I assume you are asking that using ternding anchors or keywords in backlinsk workout or not.
If the tag line is not relevant to your niche or content , it's not workout to you even it's trending .
Even it has chance to turn negative to your page
