I have a blog with all spun content when word ai was a thing. by the way word ai has no ai. It got more than 30 posts they all dance widely like 10 to 50.
I am planning to use ai improve content functionality and rewrite them.
I build backlinks in the beginning when I added the content to get it indexed like 1 year back. but it's still dancing.

As it has been mentioned above, I treat it as a good sign.
The dance basically happens when google doesn't know where you rank you... so, in my opinion, it's a good sign and you're doing something right.
I build links and sometimes I get silly dancing... eventually, end up higher.

Keep on doing what you're doing but also keep your bounce rate low. From my experience the higher you start ranking the more Google factors in 'time on page'.

It is an indication that the newly built backlinks aren't useless, you have to give it some days or weeks to settle your site at a position before you come to a conclusion though.
