Custom says you have to offer something hot & wet (and I'm not talking about soup or a towel) when you wish help from a gentleman. Is just how it is. Wouldn't have bothered to say this but you had to bring up the "i'm a woman". If you just asked for specific help like anybody else you'd have gotten help, now we all demand some "sweets" even for the slightest help you ask from us.
