Anyone got a solution to my problem? Currently I am targetting 3 competitive kws in software niche. 2 of them have about 40 000 exact searches and according to my tools ( rankerizer and eastern european tool) and 2 of them are in top 10 in g.com and last one is 15/ 17. I obviously know that I will not get about 100 000 visitors a month but what frustrates me i get in total of all of them less than even 1000!

so where is the problem than?
- measuring tools?
- geolocalization? (website is hosted in DE not US)
- website?
- meta tag?

Any wise head comments much appreciated.

cheers,
rob

The precise position is vital. If you're ranked top on first page, you'll get about 22-28% of the traffic, probably 16-20% in second spot, 10-16% in third spot and so on - if you're 9th or 10th, you won't get much even with a big traffic keyword. If you're on the second page, you'll get virtually none - just keep link building to shove your position a bit higher, soon you'll have tons of visitors!

I know but I still expected at least 1000 visits from each kw...

You hardly got any visitors if your site is below 5th rank and if you are on 2nd page you will not get any..

Push your site on top 3

Look at it on another angle....try to improve your titles and meta descriptions for each posts to add more value and be catchy, relevant and appealing to would be readers because in the end, people read before they click on a link to make sure if the site they're about to visit has a solution to their problem. In this case, what matters most since you're already in the organic page is the ability to solve a problem over other websites on the organic page and not JUST APPEARING THERE and hoping to be clicked
