My site keeps getting the google dance once every 2 or so months.
My traffic has been building steady over the last few weeks, up to 150 hits a day yesterday, I check today and it's off to a VERY slow start, and my rankings fell for my top keywords, and other top keywords dissapeared.

The exact thing happened to me 2 months ago, and they came back stronger than ever (up to position #1 for some of my main words)

So i guess I should just keep building up my backlinks, but this is so annoying! My site is not de-indexed, it still has google authority site-links.

Anyone else see this?

Yeah... my site gets bumped off every week or so... but it helps by building more content. O_O That's what I'm doing.

Try linking from high PR links, it tends to stabilize the site better.

If your scrapeboxing it will dance also senukeing at times I noticed it will Also dance. What I learned is stop blasting links for a week untill it settled then blast 2tier links then place slow money links try this out

New websites suffer the most from volatile Google Dance... But don't worry, they improved their update system, and today it is much faster than before!

do you mean like EDU/GOV?

Im not doing much blasting at all. Mostly linkwheels now. BTW my site is 2 years old.

Actually when i fall in google dance and feel happy, when your domain starts to dance you know that google is ranking him again, if you have been doing your linkbuilding labor and there isn't any new strong competitor you will get higher rankings.

Yep - keep up business as usual.

I've had the same problem on numerous sites of mine. One which only just regained its rankings after a nearly 8 month sandbox! How about that?

I didn't even know it came back out of it until I started to get sales! Just keep up business as usual and build links + CONTENT on the site that fell out. More so than not you'll regain your rankings right away.

jesus.. Another google dance for me as of today!

I'm starting to see a trend. Whenever I get more hits than usual the day I usually see a google dance the next day. After having my best day in weeks, sure enough my keywords are now either bottom of page 1 or 2 (when they were top 3) or nowhere to be found.

Keep in mind this is a 2 year old domain with google sitelinks.

I hope to be back soon at higher spots than before.

My for consistently gets 1,000 - 1,500 hits and ~2,000 posts a day and today it dropped from the 6th position to 10. The fact that it's such a small jump makes me think it's not a dance and I'm losing rankings :(. I build a few thousand backlinks a week.
