This forum is like Darwinism to the extreme. Everyone has their own "niche." If you're good, you share no knowledge with anyone. The best hide behind walls of security and the lessers are all over each other like crabs in a pot. It all sounds so stupid, but I guess thats the game of IM and life in general. The strongest will survive and thrive. Have you?

We do share knowledge. Just to an extent that if we share any of our REALLY good stuff then we lose our money.

The IM game is all about independance. You can't rely on a person, you eventually have to find out your own way.

People are like that for a reason. If you share your own unique method, guess what happens? Other people copy it and it could possibly become saturated if it gets around to enough people.

Yeah you have to view it as a puzzle. Take pieces of information and add your own method to it.

But I mean just like small questions like. "How do I drive traffic to my website?" Then everyone responds with all these vague terms that no one seems to truly understand at a simple level. I like keeping things simple. All these complex technological terms really boggle my mind. Like why would you need a C-Class Private Proxy. What does that even mean? Or how do I monetize a click? My past business, selling on eBay and Amazon was extremely simple. You import the products from China. Buy low and sell high. Online advertising is nothing like that at all.

Competition is anywhere you go. At the rate we are breeding it's only going to get worse. Competition is everywhere, whether you are a online business, offline business or just going to a job interview.. It's up to you to gain the knowledge to be just a little/a lot better than everyone else. Sucks, but it is what it is. The old saying only the strong survive holds true here.

    You have two choices:
    1. Tuck your tail between your legs, say yes sir and keep earning shit.
    2. Gain knowledge, apply yourself, succeed and increase the quality of your life and those around you til the day you die.

Your choice... It's everyone's choice. Some people just want the easy 9-5 with the same shit pay day in and day out. Planning your 40 year retirement plan and hoping nothing goes bad in the mean time.

Do they write about how they're so superior to everyone else because they have better gene's and they're more likely to mingle with an attractive mate and crush the competition and yadaa yaddi yadda. We had those types at my school too. I just think they're insecure but thats just me.

You know how you learn? by reading. I guess you missed the memo during school.

If you want to become any good, you better become obsessed. It's sink or swim, and the average drown.

Of course it's complex. There is usually no really "easy" way of making money that lasts that long. You can't just jump into IM and expect to make money right away. Take this forum like a college class. Gather all the info you can, and use your brain to create methods that will make money.

People will not share everything they know here and they'll do that for a very good reason. But you can still find enough information here to put your own game plan together. And with a bit of luck and a lot of hard work you too will be one of those not sharing everything you know here...

I know the feeling. We ALL know the feeling in some form or capacity. For the same applies EVEN unto the 'BHW gods' here, as there are things in this world that not even the blackest dam bh'r will ever be privy to, period.

We live in a world(s) of circles and spheres of influence. Either you're in or you're not in accordance to which circles you dwell in.(but you knew this already...) The good news is YOU hold the key to a great deal of that determining factor of which doors open and shut for you as you navigate not only your IM path , but all paths of your Life.

    Ask yourself this question:
Q.When was the last time you intentionally shared a valuable money making method you were currently profiting from online or offline with a complete stranger?

I guarantee you at some point what seems absolutely illogical with respect to sharing somethings today, in the future will not. Just live long enough, you'll see.

Ahh no. I hate to break it to you, bud. But that question you quoted as simple? It may sound simple as a question. But the answer is a lot more complex. It is akin to "So how do I find people to buy my product?" or "How do I create a product?" or "How do I find new good markets?". If you think the answer to "traffic" question is simple, you, my friend, haven't learned enough yet.

I understand your plight though. There aren't enough structured guides which cater to newbies but won't try to regurgitate things and try to charge you. At the same time, you really cannot expect people who are already making it to be spoon feeding. Would Guy Kawasaki spoon feed you about entrepreneurship? No. Will venture capitalists spoon feed a company they invest in about how to run a business? Nope.

If you want something of a structured guide, ahead to Neil Patel's website and look for his guides in SEO, content marketing, link building and social media. He had written guides for both basic and advanced levels. A forum is not a place to look for structured guides and spoon-feeding. It is a place where you ask specific questions to get specific answers. Not the other way round.

I share info whenever I can, and I'm sure most other people do too. But, my most profitable niches I keep to myself. I won't even order any services for it here. That's because I spent years as one of those crabs, struggling day after day, until I finally got out of the pot.

I'm willing to help anyone with a legitimate question, but only after they've shown an effort to figure it out themselves. Nowadays, everything is a few buttons away. Don't know what c-class ip is for? type in search "what is c class ip for." I learned 95% of what I know by doing this and I still continue to learn by doing this. No one spoonfed me, and I'm happy now that I look back.

In the world of IM, and in the world in general, there are always people who are willing to "get dirty" and figure things out, and then there are the "sheeps" who just follow and need everything told to them. Unfortuntely, in IM, the sheep like people tend to just destroy whatever is given to them.

Look at all the unique methods that get shared from time to time, the moment it goes public, thousands upon thousands of them jump at it without even thinking and the method is gone in less than an hour. There are a lot more people reading this forum that aren't signed up as members, that's why most of the juicy stuff is kept private.

I'm not asking to be spoon fed. I know what to expect but I feel like others are using sophisticated terminology to disguise the simplicity of the idea. When I sold on eBay and Amazon, everyone was using complex terminology to explain how a product moves from manufacture to the hands of the customer. I got all of that stuff so easily, making money was smooth as butter. Now I feel IM will be the same way once I get a hold of things but the struggle is actually getting a hold of things! Nothing in IM is really, tangible. Everything exists virtually and that, that is tough for me to grasp. I like figuring things out for myself but I gotta say, this stuff is like messing with hoodoo voodoo mumbo jumbo hocus pocus.

I kinda know what you mean, it took me a while to understand everything at first too, but you do get better at it if you just keep reading and know where to look.
And once you're at that level, there's no point just explaining every little detail over and over again like you're talking to a tard :D

It's called lingo, every field has them. Golfers have their own lingo, doctors have their lingo, lawyers have their lingo, and so do IM'ers. I don't think a community should stop using lingo's just so an outsider can understand what it means. The outsider is the one that's suppose to learn how to use the lingo and fit into the community, unless of course I'm being paid. Then it becomes my job to make sure what I'm saying is understood.

Otherwise, I don't understand why I would have to use a "simplified" sentence to explain something, when a single word explains it, and 95% of people in the community understand it.

Should I start saying "blogs that are purchased on expired domains, registered under various different whois data and ip, and used as a network to promote my main sites" instead of "private blog network" (which is commonly understood) because an outsider came in and is having difficulty understanding it. Or is incapable of typing "what is a private blog network" into search just like everyone else before him?

Or maybe I should say "search engine optimization expert who builds backlinks to increase his rankings on google" instead of "an seo."

I'm not trying to be rude or anything and i'm a noob in this so i know that this is just another opinion in the middle of great ones but think about this:

Do you walk into a Bank, Restaurant, Bar, whatever other business you may think of and ask "hey, explain me how you do it cause i'm into this market and i'd like to get into it..."

Why do you expect IM would be any different?

Ever heard "The Secret is the Soul of a Business"?

Don't get me wrong, i know and understand your point OP, i'd like things to be a bit different, but if it was easy and anyone was doing what was the point of it? There was no market and no money to be made (from a business point of view).

I'm grateful to have found the BHW and joined it, I've learned a lot and it isn't everyday you find what you have here, even if it's "old news" and if people don't mind they're own business and are all the time in each other's faces, it's natural, we are humans, we will always agree to disagree.

Cheers, hope you've got my point.

Dude. That's the way how it goes here. 2 years ago, I was the same you. Struggling, weak, and having no idea what to do with the information here. I asked questions at first, but didn't really understood. So what did I do? I read so much. I stalked successful people's profile so much. I read their past posts and their past created threads. Now, after 2 years - I can safely say I am making a living out of IM full time. I can't say I am rich yet, but I'm earning a lot then what people here do with their 9-5 job.

Just read a lot and apply. If you fail, rinse and repeat :)

    Goodluck.

Dude it's not even all that deep. Just get in where you fit in and study. Not every question you ask will be answered and not every question will be put down either.

You literally just got here this month. IM is no different then anything else in Life.

Live , learn and Pay ya dues ... simple
