It seems Dailymotion is puritanical when it comes to nudity. If there is even some rear nudity in the video, even a little bit, they are deleting it and saying it is "rejected". Is this normal? These videos actually seem to last longer on Youtube! It doesn't matter if it's marked as "ADULT" or not.

BTW, do they have a strike system? How many of these "rejected videos" can I get away with before they terminate my account?

Unlike YouTube, Dailymotion doesn't have a strike system. They merely remove objectionable content from their website whenever the community reports it. Additionally, appropriate authorities may be notified in case the offense is very severe.

Yeah, it seems like dailymotion has changed their policy since I last uploaded stuff with them. Used to be that as long as it wasn't hardcore stuff, they allowed it. Now any nudity at all gets video deleted and account shut down and they are even more prudish in what they regard as nudity than Youtube. Seems like this is just effecting new uploads right now as there is still lots of legacy nudity on the site, though maybe they'll eventually get around to deleting that too. Wish they would have the courtesy to announce it when they make major changes like this, and maybe get rid of the redband category and the check off box for adult content if they aren't even allowing it anymore, but treating adult content folks with bald contempt is sadly pretty common in the online world. I do question the business logic of it though. That they allowed soft core nudity was one Dailymotion's biggest selling points, not just for uploaders but in terms of viewers too.

I've been active on Dailymotion since 2009. It used to be a safe haven for videos that got removed on YouTube.

I wish I was joking but Dailymotion is almost exclusively targeting videos with butt for deletion whether there's nudity in them or not; mostly "twerk" videos (I'm talking about videos that almost never get removed on YouTube nowadays thanks to the increase popularity/acceptance of that in recent American culture.)

The Dailymotion Holocaust of videos began approximately about a year ago but it has gotten more perverse over the past few months to the point I've registered on here to post this message in hope that people take action and spread awareness. The community on DM is only responsible for reporting/removing a negligible amount of these videos. It's a moderator or a small group of moderators who have decided to take matters into their own hands and do whatever the hell they please even if the videos do not actually violate the Terms of Service/Prohibited Content.

I'm obsessed with numbers and keeping track of things so I have a better idea of how much they're deleting than anyone else. I bookmark every Dailymotion video that I like and periodically go through them to see if they've gotten deleted; I have thousands of them bookmarked. I can report that of the last 297 videos I've bookmarked this year 218 have gotten deleted... that's a 70-75% deletion rate - ridiculous!

The most hypocritical part is that videos with explicit nudity and actual pornographic content have a greater chance of staying up indefinitely if they are set up for "Pay-Per-View", meaning you have to pay to watch and Dailymotion makes a profit.

They stalk people who send a message to the "support" team to complain about videos being inappropriately/unjustifiably removed. They go after the videos they've uploaded and the videos they've added to their favorites ... videos that are several years old get removed within a few days of complaining, hmm.....

    ps.
I'll let you in on a dirty secret that Dailymotion probably doesn't want you to know. Most of the videos that say "Sorry, The video has been removed by the user." have actually been removed by Dailymotion. I notice that this happens when they decide to terminate/close an account rather than go through the user's videos. My guess is that they don't want to leave evidence behind and get prosecuted for being an abomination.

Just when I thought it couldn't get worse... they deleted all videos that I watched earlier today.
(22 videos NONE of which contained nudity!!!)
These videos have been around for years and they are from different users.
They are tracking me. ... They are using me to locate the videos.
This is sick and very unprofessional.
Not what I expect from a site as big as Dailymotion.
They haven't deleted the videos that I watched a moment ago but I expect they'll remove those soon.

Does anyone know an agency that I can report this to or people that can do something about this??? Can anyone notify this to Dailymotion management (someone high up in the chain)?

Years of videos lost just because some asshole employed by Dailymotion has a personal vendetta. This needs to stop!
