Daily rituals to increase productivity?

Recently I have been testing a few different things on myself and seeing how my body and mind react to it ultimately to increase productivity.

Working through the night and sleeping in, waking up early, working with and without music, outside and inside. Showering when I wake up, and when I go to sleep.

What things are you trying / have you implemented into your daily / weekly routine to boost your productivity?

Though in reality, one thing I've found is being on the computer less actually makes me more procuctive. Granted I'm still on it a whole lot, but you need a balance of other things in your life.

If you're consistently not eating/sleeping and doing IM instead, you'll burn out after some time. So don't neglect the necessities in life (for a long period of time) in order to make progress.

I used to be on a schedule of staying up really late and getting up early, then taking a nap in the afternoon and going back at it once I woke up from my nap. Now it's a lot different.

My tip would be: find out what works for you. I can't work with music, some people have to work with music. I like working outside some, but then in the dark at other times. I like working for short intervals (1-2 hours) then taking a break some times and other times I like working a long time (4-10 hours) focusing on something specific. It's ok if those things vary - life is often a flux.

I realize my mind works at its best in the morning. So I usually start the work early in morning. I can get more work done in the morning.

I’m going to try waking up in the morning and not sleeping in.

Schedule is the best thing you can do to yourself. Make a reasonable schedule and stick to it. Getting up at the same time, having a specific time where you work on specific projects and including some leisure and family time too.

A few things, but the most helpful so far have been:
- Cutting off social media (aside from Twitter & LinkedIn since I need that for self-promotion)
- Cold showers (not because of self-improvement shit, I'm just really tired when I wake up)
- Getting back to reading at least 2 books per week (could see my attention span increasing, or at least going back to where it once was)
- Negative visualization (a stoic practice)

It's really simple, cut the crap and do what you really need to do.

Same here. Staying up late is always so tempting especially if I’m in the middle of something.

You’re killing it bro. I usually get through 3/4 to a full book a week. Have you read raving fans?

Go buy yourself a solid Sativa dominant hybrid strain. (legally of course ) Wake and bake, then slam a couple Adderall to even out the highness to alertness ratio, then turn on $uicide boy$ - exodus to get in the right fuck being a normal 9-5 then die person mindset. Once you do these specific techniques, only then, you will become productive.

oh, and stop watching TV, I think I unlearn things some fucking how when I listen to the people on TV.

I haven't read that one, but I'll put it on my list for next week.
Last week has been "prometheus rising" and "god's debris".

Some things I do:
  • Wake up early (6 to 9 am)
  • Try to eat at least a little in the morning, even if I don't feel hungry. (I never get as much done when I skip breakfast)
  • Drink green tea, instead of coffee (I don't suffer from a crash)
  • Meditate (I feel it aids in concentration)
