Daily likes dropped drastically, how or why??

Is Facebook doing something to not register real likes now?

How could a fan page that is 5 years old with 560,000 likes, which was gaining 1500 likes per day (REAL likes too, posted every half hour and the posts were liked and shared a ton, they still are); go from getting 1500 likes on average daily to less than 100 in 5 days??? It dropped from 1500 to 1200 to 600 to 200 to 100. It hasn't been that low on daily totals since the first year. A normal bad day is 1000; how could this happen? Reach and engagement are up for the last week even, so this makes NO since. Somehow there has to be likes not registering or something!

Anyone know what could be up?

I believe this is due to the new facebook algorithm to fight clickbait articles. Unfortunately even us who post good content and not spamming are now affected

I don't know if this could be it though. People are actively telling me they have tried to like the page, and it does nothing. There is no other reason my likes could have dropped by this much unless Facebook is penalizing it some way it seems, but I have other pages that are less than 5000 likes getting more daily likes than my main one, which yesterday got 24 total likes... so I went from an average of over 1500 from the last 2 months, down to 1267, then 600, then 195, then 109, then 24, and so far today... negative 2

Check your page engagement and talkings! Make interesting posts about your niche to get the good engagement! Do some contests and ask questions to get the viral reach of your page.

Oh that is the strange part, reach and engagement are UP... it is really really weird, it's like Facebook said "okay, we are not going to unpublish your page (yet); but you are getting likes too fast without paying for them, so we are capping your butt"

Wow same thing has happened to me from 8k+ likes down to 200 likes ??? WTF. The reach , likes (posts) , Video views are the same , but the page likes have decreased significantly
People keep saying "keep the viral reach Up" our page reach and talking about is same, it's just the page likes and Link post reach that has decreased . WTF is facebook doing ?

e.g one of my posts did 1mill reach (8k likes 4k shares 1k comments) just on that single post but on that day i Only received 150 page likes ! there must be something fishy going on
