Custom shipping fields in Magento. How do I do this?

I am new to magento and have been trying to get used to it. I am need some help getting my shipping forms right. I sell virtual in game goods for games and having users fill out a physical address makes no sense. The billing form should be the same and I don?t want to mess with that. For the shipping form I want to change it so the person has to fill our their name, character?s name,region,server, faction, and ways to contact them along with their PayPal address. How can I do this without messing anything up or using third party software?
