Custom Bot Source Code & Spying

How can know if a developer of a custom bot is tracking or spying on me to steal my niche or my method? I heard if that's happening then i should look at the source code, but how would i know if they removed that part out of the source code? as i don't know anything about code

If you don't have the experience, you won't find out.

I was screwed over majorly by a developer a year or 2 back. He changed over 50% of all my referral links into his, which dropped my income with the same percentage.

You do have some good days when you find out and adjust the code to get 100% of your sales lol.
 
You can always contact me and I'll spy back on the developer.

since you already have the source code you can recompile it
so that if any part is removed from the source code then it won't be part of executable file as well
and if you notice any difference in performance or GUI between your compiled program and the one provided by the developer than its obvious that there is something fishy

a developer gave you source code for his bot?

You can use a sniffing program like Wireshark to see whats being transmitted.

And of course check the source code of your app to.
 
Some kid that learned how to code three minutes ago might be tempted to do something like that, but why would a real developer risk jail time to "spy on you" or "steal your niche" is beyond me. On the other hand, you never know - just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't after you ;)
 
No, i mean after they've programed the bot and then sent source code.

Couldn't they have removed the spyware out of the code before sending it, while the application has it?
 
if they did and you have source code recompile and dont use the app he sent you use the one you compile. i dont get it?
 
the code or bot written in what language?
 
Well, if you're sure that something is fishy, the only way and 100% sure would be to hire somebody who knows well (eg. somebody who makes cracks for games,programs, etc) the assembly language, and can tell you what's there.

So compile the source code yourself, and run the bot compiled on your PC not the one the developer gave you. :)
 
First of all prevent accessing your data.Use only server side code.
 
I see, but how would compile it, i don't ANYTHING about code.
 
Hire another Coder to check, simple :)
May In know in what language Bot Coded?
 
Like someone earlier said, monitor the app activity using a tool like wireshark. Hire someone who is good into this and trusted to check ur codes
