Current short earnings

According to this video, it's doom and gloom for trying to moneytise shorts.

Any thoughts? Who is earning what? From shorts after the change please?

Monetizing Shorts after the recent changes seems tough, with many creators struggling to earn as much as before. Platforms are focusing on longer content for better ad revenue. However, some are still seeing success through alternative methods like sponsorships or using Shorts to drive traffic to longer videos.

After the change it's harder to earn for youtube with shorts. I cannot show you my earnings but I'll say most creators' earning have decreased at least by 50%.

So this means, its not recommended to make new shorts channel now?

I think for me, as I'm making shorts, I moneytise the channel in other ways, don't rely on ad revenue from shorts.

Include a link to long form videos. Get the channel moneytised through shorts first as it's easier, then I include links to long form videos where the ad revenue is much higher, I also include links to other forms of moneytisation out side you tube platform.
