Hi everyone,

I'd like to grow a few modest Instagram accounts on various niche topics that i'm interested in myself. It's not really a commercial endeavor. 5k~10k range is my aim. I'd like to know what resources I should reference to be sure I don't make any stupid mistakes starting out botting.

Steps that I have taken thus far:
  • Read about bots on BHW, awesome information
  • I've set up a VRM on Amazon to run levpasha's instabot from github (seems up to date, so i assume it's solid)
  • I made a new account and I ran the bot for about 48 hours. Resulting in about 75 followers. I posted 15 images in that time frame. I did experience a few hours being unable to comment/post images with hashtags, I assume the reason was spamming.
  • Researching hashtags for the new accounts I want to create
  • Purchased a prepaid SIM to register new accounts on. I'm wondering if Instagram won't check the IMEI (?). I don't want other personal/work accounts to be associated should anything go wrong.
One thing that I haven't been able to figure out yet is if there are really any good options for scheduling content. Any and all tips/tricks are appreciated. As someone just starting it's hard to distinguish outdated and current practices so I hope there are resources that are kept up to date.

Thanks in advance!

Massplanner is the best to handle scheduling, posting, getting followers. Most people here swear by it. Myself included. If you want to go the free route then hootsuite is a good scheduling app.

I would recommend Crowdfire or Later for scheduling as they both are free
