Curious to know how this all works?

Hi everyone!

I though I ask here for my knowledge and maybe for testing, I have been seeing a lot of these ads come on facebook related to taking your link from page 2-3 in 4-5 days with click through, how are they doing this? Are they using bots, to search the keyword, find the website and then just spend some time on it? How many intervals of this do you need to see a difference.

I am also seeing another GMB agency and they are ranking GMB profiles to the top 3 map pack? Is that just by searching the business and going to their website? How is google pushing that GMB by just CTR?

Or are these companies like micro workers etc?

Just curious, looking forward to learning more about this

but then again, most of them must be combining CTRs with other local SEO factors, not just driving traffic to their websites. I would certainly ques anyone claiming that he/she succeeded in moving from page 2 to page 3 through clicks only within day.

A lot of those services are probably using CTR manipulation, bots, or microtask users to simulate searches and clicks.

It can sometimes move things temporarily, but it’s risky and usually not a reliable long term SEO strategy. For GMB, CTR is only one small part of the ranking factors.

yes, most likely these companie take into account the CTR along with other elements. but I would never believe such an agency that claim moving a site from page two to the top three positions in a few days.

A lot of those services are basically trying to manipulate user signals, but I wouldn’t assume CTR alone can push a site or GMB into the top spots. Google uses plenty of other signals too.

I think a lot of those services are just making it sound easier than it really is. Getting clicks on a keyword might help with some signals, but I don't think its enough to push a page from page 3 to top 3 in 4-5 days. For GMB probably the same thing, there is likely more going on than just searching the business and clicking the site. Hard to know what they are actually doing without seeing the setup.

Curious to know how this all works?
